Has anyone riding a VTX had any problems with high speed wobble. I was going down the interstate the other day at about 85 or so and the front end started to wobble back and forth. I don't know if this from the road surface or my bike but it was pretty freaky.

Mine used to do the same thing, BUT it was when I had the factory dunlops and the left side of the front tire was wore more than the right. Bought new tires and, VWALAH, no more wobble.

could be the road, if is wobbing on different roads check your tire pressure. but probaly in the tires. i had the same prob with an old set of dunlops got to where i just didn't feel that safe put on a set of mez and been smooth ever since.

these tires and the bike for that matter only have 2 thousand miles on them. Never dropped the bike and the trees and neck look fine. Maybe it was the road?

Freaked me out the first time this happened on the freeway. I soon realized it was the pattern of the road used on some overpasses and most flyovers (alot of these in Houston) The pattern is cut deeper into the road for drainage. Just in case this is not the problem I would check the tires (balancing, pressure, and tread) and make sure front end is torqued to spec.

What tire pressure you running in the front? If your not running 40psi your tire will cup severely. Run your hand over the surface of the tire. If it's cupped severely the tire is junk. Either way run 40psi in the front now or with a new one. Remember your VTX is 750 lbs. You will go through tires. Stock rear will last around 5K miles with burnouts. LOL. The front won't be far behind that. Getting 8K miles out of the stock tires is doing great. That's without burnouts or riding with a heavy right wrist. Switch brands as soon as you need one tire. Put a complete set on and run 40psi in the front. LOL. Trust me it works.
