Sabre vs ACE 1100 exhaust ports

Found a swwet deal on ebay on a set of pipes that are for a 2000 sabre...can anyone tell me if these would fit a 97 ace 1100...? Is there anydifference in the port spacing on the different motors or anything about the frame set up that would prevent using them?

I believe that they will fit, with a little modification to the bracket that attaches them to the frame. That is, if you have the knack for a little fabrication work. The port spacing should be the same, unless I'm mistaken. I bought a V&H ProPipe for the Sabre to install on my '95 VT1100C(looks like a Spirit) and all I have to do is modify the frame bracket. I've seen a late model 1100 Spirit with them on, and they fit perfectly.
I'd say, give it a try! At worst, you would have to resell them if you couldn't make them fit.
