Just saw this on my local news. 4 people were killed in motorcycle accidents within 48 hours this weekend in Rhode Island.

I also read on the website for another local news station that a Providence, RI motorcycle officer fell off his bike and was hit by an oncoming truck. It said he was transported to hospital but no further details. I'm assuming he'll be alright (I hope).

The only woman I know that can drive is Danica Patrick, and she still hasn't won a race yet! I'd let her use my stick shift for a long race!!

Living in the land of the newly weds and nearly deads...there's always some form of idiocity on the road. I've made it a rule to never drive behind anyone wearing a tilley hat!
Was on a ride on Sunday up to the Comox airshow and travelled with the local SCRC group who had some members from the island. One of the guys that rode with us (a tailgunner) Eric went down later that night. He and another rider left the group at the airshow to go to mount washington. On his way home that night he hit a concrete barrier. He's in the hospital with a blood clot in his head. He is in a drug induced coma and will be kept that way for at least 5 days.
It's been one of those weeks for us, we just found out this morning that another friend of ours laid her bike down on the weekend. She's okay except for some road rash. Aparently tried to switch to reserve in the middle of a long turn.
Life is too short, take care and enjoy it while you are here.

Holy shit! That is a run of bad things! I hate hearing things like that. I have two young girls and IF I ever went down like that, they would never forgive me! I will keep your friends in my thoughts and hope they all recover quickly.
