Hey guys thanks for the help with the carbs!!!
I just bought an cdi unit finally got spark and no fuel... How do I test the fuel pump?
I just took power from the battery and hooked up to one side and nothing I thought I would have heard the pump turn on or some kind of noise but nothing is that a good indication the pump is bad? Is there and relay or somehting like that for the pump.. I have gas at my petcock but no gas coming out of the float screw on the carbs...
Thanks
Daniel

Hi dbranco, Ya gonna have to determine if fuel is getting to the carb/s by pulling the supply line (at the carbs) from the pump. There is a relay in the circuit but you'll have to determine if it's either the supply or a carb prob first.
The pump is also fuse protected ....check all fuses.
If there is no fuel flow (at the hose that enters the carbs) then update us.

There is no fuel in the carbs floats nor the line... I checked the petcock and after the filter and fuel pours out of there....

There are two issues.
1. The bowls are dry.
and
2. No fuel flow.
Question:
Are you capable of reading a wiring schematic and performing troubleshooting steps in the process? (The pump, relay or associated circuits may be at fault) and do you have a DMM?
