I've been looking for the past 6 months to find a set of sweet low profile mirrors. Right now I have mirrors with 6 inch stems and they raise about 5-6 inches above the grips. I'm looking for mirrors that raise up about 3 inches from the grips. Any suggestions?

I will look for a picture of my set . They don't rise much . They are almost useless now that I lowered my bike .

Check out the pics of my mirrors in the garge page. They came with shorter stems, but I had to put the longer ones on because I couldn't see a damn thing! When I lower my bike I might switch them, but they are pretty low already.

Once the bike was lowered, why couldn't you guys see anything?

For me, the mirrors are so small, and stems so short, I couldn't see around my shoulders. You can only adjust them so far.

take a look at these there are not very functional as a mirror but are very
low profile-there are about 3 to 3-1/2 inches from grips.lets just say i
could lift my finger up from the grips and with out taking my palm off of the grip
and i could touch them with about the middle of my index finger.

I've got that mirror also, and I have to say that I'm impressed. I've had 4 sets of mirrors on my bike now, and this one is by far the best.
I really wasn't expecting much aside from looks, but the mirror is convex (so you get a really big angle of vision), and has internal absorption. There's really very little distortion in the image.
And as for your original question, RAZOR's right - they're very low profile...

Not the best picture, but this gives you an idea...

Noiseboy, those look pretty sweet. They are definately at the top of my list at the moment. Especially if I can win the ebay bid you showed me...thanks!

Okay, before noiseboy gave me a really sweet option as far as mirors go. I was checking out ebay and there is another very similar set by arlen ness.
1) Does it look like there is any difference in the profile of the two mirrors?
2) Do you think I'll be able to see the same amount of road with each?
3) I know looks are in the eye of the beholder, but which one would you guys go for?
4) I have adaptors on my current mirrors, are all metric adaptors the same size?

In the bottom set is the left mirror broken? If it is, I wouldn't touch them.

I'm using this tipe on my bike, no stem just clamp on your bar next to throttle housing. You can view it in my garage. It's very small but functional, the reflected image behind you is closer than the stock Honda.

You can find those circle mirrors at JPcycles.com. They are sweet and low profile, but they are $140 each! It's ashame assessories have to cost so much because if money were no object, I would buy these by Ness. They too are about $140!

I got it in Singapore, but Logan is right, you can get it frm JP Cycles.
The $140 is billet aluminium. There's another tipe which is also available frm JP, cost $75 for a pair, I think it is chromed die cast aluminum. I'm using this one. Well the overall shape is similar but it has a lightning shaped hole on the stem, not a big deal....$30 for a piece is a decent price.

I found the less expensive version that Ghost Rider was talking about. Hmmmmm...decisions, decisions. I think I'll just order one of each and see which one I like the best. Hey Ghost Rider, out of curiosity, are those round mirrors flat or convex?

The mirror as well as the reflected image is flat. If there's no traffic rule to put 2 mirrors on your bike , then just put one and sell the other. Two of them will look funny I think.
Remember to maintain it with some chrome wax and keep it dry, otherwise the chrome will hv bubbles quickly. Keep in mind that the cheaper version is not made in USA
Btw the ness mirror is really sweet.
