Shocks that work on the FX & FLH...will work on our bikes....you'll just need the center sleeve bushing to get the bolt to fit without slop....you'll also need a longer mounting bolt as the eyes for the Harleys are a tad bit wider....I've seem those shocks on our bikes and almost went with em.....the only reason I didn't was because the ones I saw the guy told me that he had to do a bit of mount grinding on the lowers....I didn't wanna do that so went with the 412's on account of the exact fit thing....so I'm anal so what....

I'm wondering how much grinding as I have the 1.5" scootmod lowering kit on.

Who sells the cheapest 11" progressive 412's?

I saw a good tutorial online somewhere on making harley shocks work on the shadow. Anyone got a link?
Do you think the ride will be stiffer?

I ran Hardly 11" big twin shocks on mine for a while, all I had to do was push out the steel sleeves in the bushings and ran them... Got mine from Dennis at Menace Custom Cycles a few years back for like $40-$45 bucks shipped...

Struts are solid, no give what so ever. So no, Harley shocks are not as stiff as struts.
